Outside of my professional endeavors, I engage in personal tech projects
that push the boundaries of cloud technology. One such project is MervinX
Cloud (MXC), my private cloud infrastructure where I explore and integrate
cutting-edge solutions. This space allows me to blend innovation with robust
security, continuously advancing my skills and expanding my expertise.
Work Experience
Systems Engineer - Tata Consultancy Services
October 2021 - Present, Chennai
- CertHub (Certificate Management in GCP): Automated certificate lifecycle management using serverless systems for GCP components like GSM, load balancers, and Apigee. Designed a robust email notification system for certificate management.
- Terraform Automation: Utilized Terraform to automate GCP infrastructure provisioning, creating and managing virtual machines, VPCs, firewall rules, and storage. Developed reusable Terraform modules to streamline infrastructure deployment and ensure consistency.
- PKI Deployment: Deployed EJBCA and Secunet in Google Kubernetes Engine and OpenShift environments, conducting proof of concepts on their functionalities.
- GCP Confidential Computing: Published Architectural Decision Records (ADR) for Confidential VMs and Kubernetes Engine. Deployed Ubiquitous Data Encryption (UDE) services for strictly confidential data, ensuring encryption at all stages.
- Programming and Deployment: Utilized Python and Google APIs, deploying applications via GitHub Actions with YAML workflows. Managed GCP resources using Terraform.
- Client Engagement: Delivered tailored cloud infrastructure and security solutions for a leading global bank, enhancing security measures and compliance.
Personal Projects
- MervinX Cloud (MXC): Developed
a comprehensive private cloud infrastructure at home, integrating
various services such as CloudDrive for personal storage, ContainerHub
for container management, PrivateTunnel with WireGuard for secure
access, and more. This setup is a sandbox for experimenting with
cutting-edge cloud technologies, emphasizing security and performance.
